Just in case you're under the impression that I'm gripped by some sudden spasm of literary madness let me make clear that the last entry wasn't typed by my hands. Nuff' said. Now that thats been mentioned let me move on to the entry.

I had the privilege of being at the indoor stadium yesterday to watch the Aviva Open. (my uncle managed to get me season tickets) If you play badminton, thought about playing badminton or have otherwise simply just touched someone elses badminton racket before you would have been blown away by the standard of badminton being displayed. You don't even have to understand the game I think, to appreciate the atheleticism that goes into every shot, every deliberate flick of the wrist and every lunge for the shuttle. I was really kept of the edge of my seat throughout the whole five hours of the tournament yesterday (ok, with the exception of ronald susilo's match, which I didn't bother to follow because it was clear he wasn't bothering to play well either. I instead went to shake Peter Gade's hand and tell him that I thought the Singapore line judges were all blind monkeys)

As a badminton enthusiast I was taken in by the atmosphere just upon entering the indoor stadium. Kendrick Lee was walking around the Yonex shop half heartedly looking through the numerous badminton shirts on display. I considered going up to him and saying, "well done in beating the world number 3 man" but I was afraid I had recognised him wrongly because I wasn't sure too sure if he was kendrick lee at all (eh, badminton stars aren't really celebrities you know). I mean, it would really suck if he happened to be chen jin, the world number 3 who had just been outed. But just as I turned to walk away 2 girls squealed, "kendrick kendrick!!" and proceeded to take photos. Soon he was swarmed by girls asking for photos and autographs. So much for not being celebrities.

I think theres no real need to describe the matches in detail but just trust me when I say that the Peter Gade, Chen Yu match alone was worth the ticket. Pity that Gade lost though. I think a combination of nerves, bad line calls and inhuman reflexes on the part of Chen Yu were just too much for him to overcome. But Gade is still, in my opinion, the epitome of deceptive badminton. I must admit I was disappointed also when Gunawan and Wijaya fell to the world number one's Fu and Cai. Another disappointment was when Susilo was taken to badminton school by the Thai Giant killer, the unseeded Boonsak Ponsana (the fella eliminated Lin Dan, the reigning king of singles badminton).

After badminton I went to meet Wai and Yin Har at the Crystal Jade La Mien Xiao Long Bao at Taka. We quickly went on to order quite abit cos we were all starving. 2 bowls of La Mien, 2 baskets of Xiao Long Bao (it is the best xiao long bao in singapore I kid you not) and this Pork Ribs with ginger thing. The food was really good and it didn't really burn a whole in the pocket. (the whole meal only came out to about 40 bucks) After that we made our way to clarke quay for some dessert at Riccioti! I've always wanted to wax lyrical about how orgamiscally good the desserts are there but yesterday the service was crap. So I shall refrain from commenting. Oh well. I can't wait for the finals of the Aviva Singapore Open tomorrow. Till the next post, ciao.

prad and the nothing

Hi
There is nothing to say. *nods head* *shakes leg*
That's quite obscene.
I have a lot of pimples. You're looking for nice clothes to buy but you just can't seem to find something that you like. The choice colour is always too unappealing, the material perpetually too uncomfortable or worse, the price tag is so hefty you'd have to strike 4D to not file for bankruptcy upon leaving the store. Then you think. Ok. I have a clothes hanger in my hand. Maybe I just club the unassuming salesguy in front of me and make a run for it. Ah. Sounds like a plan.

Then you realise to your dismay that prom is in a couple of days. No time to stage elaborate heists and what not. Just find something, buy it and scoot on outta there. Deja Vu? Not so. Yes kids, I am going for prom. Again. Anyways this entry marks a return to my posting ways, seeing as how my vocation in the army is pending and that I have too much free time on my hands (but don't tell the warrant officers). I'll come up with something more substantial in the coming days I guess. Till then, NJC Prom 06' here I come!

prad and the passing out parade
Wow.. Pretty hard to imagine that 9 weeks ago when I last wrote an entry here I was still enjoying life as a civilian. Now 9 weeks later when I look back in retrospect I am full of envy. Don't get me wrong though, the responsibility of defending this tiny red island as a full time national serviceman has not put me off entirely - in fact I am thoroughly honoured to have taken up this sacred responsibility.. yet nonetheless I miss the many freedoms that constitute civilian life. On April 8th, I was a Recruit of the Singapore Armed Forces (although recruit seems to be the wrong word seeing as how I wasn't 'recruited' out of a selfless desire to partake in national service but instead conscripted as per the national service act). Just 9 weeks ago I was an ill disciplined, very out of shape, irresponsible young boy.

Now, 9 weeks or so later, I am a Private of the Singapore Armed Forces. I am a trained soldier who can, if need be, be called upon to bear arms in defense of this country. I dare say that in this short time I have learnt to become a more disciplined and certainly in some aspects much more responsible young man. And yes, I have become much fitter (always a good thing).

Obviously its tremendously hard to compress all the experiences and memories of my 9 weeks into this feeble blog entry - but it goes without saying that these 9 weeks have had a very profound impact on my life. I've met many different kinds of people. I've learnt to never judge a book by its cover. There were those who were incredibly physically fit but mentally they would crumble under adversity, there were those who would seem selfless and caring outwardly but deep inside them grew the seeds of selfishness and hate (the army just calls them wayang, which is really much easier to say) also those who were thoroughly negative. There were also the quiet unassuming fellows who would take so much and still smile and also those who regardless of how tired and beat down they were would still say "thats it?". I can only hope that I belonged to the last group.

Now all that awaits is posting to another school of military training which is coming up this weekend. Till then. Ciao.

prad and enlistment day
Its finally time. The worst part about the army I imagine, is not the horrendous stories of torture and training that have come out of Tekong, but instead that confrontation with the fact that things are never really going to be quite the same. Just came back from my Grandma's place, it was nice to see my cousins Prashanth atten and Pravin atten again and hear their stories and what not about the army. One of my uncles called to wish me good luck and I realised alot of people are taking the army way more serious then me. haha.

You see alot of guys going into the army come out as much more mellow (and perhaps even mature) versions of their former selves. I seriously wonder how I'm gonna turn out once the army is through with me? Just imagine - a leaner, meaner, more serious and maybe even more mature Pradeep. Cool? We'll see.

Alot of people have been confessing stuff to me recently and thats nice too. Don't worry la, I'll try not to do too many stupid things in the army and get myself killed. haha. I was wondering what the reason was for this strange phenomenon and in the words of a certain Sim Yihui its because:

[Y H Sim] Tian Tian Dou Xu Yao Ni Ai! -Acts Gross- says:
maybe u dun look threatening anymore
[Y H Sim] Tian Tian Dou Xu Yao Ni Ai! -Acts Gross- says:
hahaha

Yes, indeed. I am sure with my impressive height and massive size I have always been very intimidating. ANYWAYS. Time for shoutouts.

//General ShoutOuts//

1. Interwho? haha. Hey Matthew you have a blog still?

2. Yihui, I sign off with 'Ora et Labora' as a small tribute to the greatest educational institution ever established.

3. Howie! I'm going to BMTC School One. I'll either be in Hawk or Falcon Coy. I also happen to be on the last bloody ferry off the mainland to Tekong for the second intake of Pes A/B NS men - April 8th, 3.45pm. And ya man. The new NJ PE shirt looks damn cool and it doesn't stink like the old PE shirt. lol. Our lucky juniors, they even had enrichment week la! An ENTIRE WEEK of enrichment. Just to give credit where its due the 37th Student Council designed the PE shirt and also Feedback given led to the creation of Enrichment week. Bao ga liao! (inside joke)

4. I found out also Saumya. Whats her blog ah. haha. Happy April Fool's to you too.

5. Current NJCian - I'm sure HBK would be quite pleased to hear that. haha. But kids! Remember, vandalism is still a crime if you are caught! (so i suppose no crime was really committed)

6. Duffy. Yes, the full list of 'The Soup Terrorist Organisation', after our total and complete ownage of the 'Your Mum CT Force' (some dudes from United World College) is as follows:

thesoupistoosalty- pradeep
thesoupistoof***edup- shaun
thesoupistoolame- heng
thesoupistoogay- derrick
thesoupistoocorny- brent
thesoupistoocheeky- yichuen

May the soup taste better next time.

7. Zoo girl, who else was involved! haha. I'm curious.

8. Ming! giant sunglasses and a moustache. funky. haha. There was some speculation that HBK refers to a WWE Wrestler who goes by the same name, the "Heart Break Kid" Shaun Micheals. But no, I don't suppose it was intended to mean that. As to what he/she wanted it to mean? I suppose we gotta wait till this "HBK" tells us. haha.

prad and the prank caller

Wah. Got up just to write this entry - whoever it is who prank called me better start feelin damn special. Anyways. Here is what I remember:

1.Withheld number
2. Claims to be a "Vanessa"
3. Claims to be from SRJC
4. Put on this really thick accent (which I suggested was fake, but hey man, I'm sorry if you really speak that way)
5. Noisy background

So ok, so far we have a nice prank call identity forming up. Then come the more intriguing pieces of info:

6. Claims shes hot
7. Claims I gave her my number when I was at Ministry of Sound or someone who I gave my number to may have given her my number
8. Asks if I'm north indian
9. Asks repeatedly if I remember her
10. Gives the impression she goes clubbing alot
11. Girls giggling in the background
12. Girl in background at one point asks "what did he say? what did he say? hee hee hee"

Lets analyze.

6. and 9. Give me the impression you're a serial stalker/rapist/murderer who probably looks like Freddy from the Nightmare on Elm street movies.

7. Confirms you're here to deprive me of sleep/lying

8. Sorry lass, my ancestral home is in the state of kerala. Its kinda south of the border.

10. She says "no wonder I haven't seen you the past 2 weeks". Hot damn, I have a stalker! Woo.

11. and 12. Ouch, that friend should really feel stupid right now.

Anyway, she probably really did get my number from someone and hey, if you happen to drop by please tag me or something! I'm sorry I wasn't more hospitable but that usually happens when I'm trying to sleep early (its only 1 something, but I hafta sleep cos I'm meeting Heng and some others to run tomorrow mornin - Heng, if I'm late you know why ah). Ok shoutouts!

//General ShoutOuts//

1. The person who went all picasso on the crest called me to tell me that my theories were wrong, he didn't use a ladder to reach the lion on the crest but used spas lashed together instead. (Spa: long wooden pole like the ones used by OAC) He also went on to say that his devious operation took a couple of hours and ended sometime around 3am. Good/Bad news: The school rectified the vandalism within 12 hours (fantastically fast response I might add) Good/Bad news: I have a picture of the vandalized crest before it was returned the normal. Its interesting to know what you guys think about his actions though, tag me, I'm sure "HBK" will see your responses.

2. Yes Recruit YiChuen I have started running liao, but nvm. Lets see what wonders the army can do for me.

3. Yihui, I've always wanted to be a journaleese.

4. Hey Di! Thanks fer droppin by. =D

5. Hey Matthew, wah, a visitor from overseas! I feel my blog playing an active role in globalisation.

6. Duffy, Emmi, Heng: Yes the crest was really vandalized. Eh shaun, seriously MOS this weekend ah? Emmi wanna come?

7. Nemesis, Heng, Brent, Shaun: Good to see you guys finally arrived at a truce or ceasefire or whatever. Like Heng said, whats done is done, we've all left NJ liao so lets get on with our lives.

prad and the nj crest
DISCLAIMER: The first two paragraphs of the following article are FACT, the following paragraphs are merely FICTION. The author reserves the right to freedom of expression for any/all entries that constitute this blog.

Today morning to the shock of many, it was discovered that the giant NJC crest facing Bukit Timah road was terribly vandalized by unknown person(s). Initial reports have reached me that the "lion on the crest was given sunglasses and a moustache. Also, the words HBK were scrawled on the crest with the B inverted horizontally".

At the moment there has been no official word from the admin acknowledging the act of vandalism against the school (suggesting the possibility they might not even know) however many students are already aware of the travesty.

The attack on the crest was definately premeditated as it has been established that unless orchestrated by a giant 8 foot man - rumours have reached us that Mr Menon has already been brought in for questioning - there is no way any asian or most caucasians could even reach that high up on the crest. It is therefore postulated by the author that the culprit brought a ladder up to the crest to do his/her dirty work.

When a concerned ex-student, Pradeep Nair, was asked about the act of vandalism he responded angrily, " *bleep* man. if those *bleep* singtel employees working in the next building could have reported 2 NJCians *bleep*ing on the crest, you know, the story almost all NJ students have heard, I think its rather *bleep*ing ridiculous that a *bleep*er in a ladder couldn't have been spotted by those *bleep*s. I mean er, not that I've heard anything about a ladder or anything, I'm just er guessing. *looks nervously around* "

At this time we can only assume that the suspects are being brutally tortured at the hands of a certain disciplinary figure in the school, codenamed S. When interviewed about the crime, the mysterious person, whom we are unable to place as male or female had only this to say - " So sad seeing such a sordid situation spoiling the super studying condition in our school. To the culprit, there is no escape! Be it coloured ankle socks, short skirts, incomplete GP work, not looking me in the eye when I'm addressing you - YOU WILL KNOW WHY THEY CALL ME S FOR SADISTIC! And you with the mic, aren't you that indian boy who alwa "

Due to certain complications at press time we were unable to print the entirty of the interview, the inconvinience is regretted by the paper. Other than being a good popcorn movie the Wachowski Brothers managed to come up with a script thats daring and politically incorrect (in light of our current global situation).

Hugo Weaving (the dude who was Elrond in LOTR and Smith in The Matrix) manages a credible and moving performance as the masked vigilante after whom the movie is titled and Natalie Portman (the gal who was Princess Amidala from Star Wars) pulls off a great performance as Evey Hammond, V's "student" of sorts. I'll link you up.

3. Heng, Shaun, Brent - Good to know there are still some psychos out there who will flame my tagboard in defense of council. lol.

4. It was pretty cool cos I think it marked the first time since Orientation (our orientation) that I'd been out with so many of my classmates. It was also the second time in my life I had gone on an outing to a singaporean beach (the other time was at siloso beach, also in sentosa. yep kids. I've never been to a beach on the mainland before). Was supposed to meet Hui Ghee at Harbourfront MRT at 11, but soon enough our party expanded to include Damien, Li Hang and Francine (who I spotted in the distance with my hawk-like vision as we approached the bus terminal)

We arrived at Siloso at around 12 and proceded towards Pelawan Beach to meet Yihui, PinJie, Shubei, Cynthia and Debbie who had been there from 8am (and who secured us this kick ass shaded spot close to the beach). Meera, Teddy, Nicole arrived later and then all of us basically spent the rest of the day playing frisbee and pigging out. It was pretty fun - plus it was really great to see s23 in such reasonably large numbers again. Lets do that again =)

Anyways I wanted to blog longer but then the beautiful and talented Ms Sim saved me the trouble by photoblogging about it. So without further ado lemme shamelessly link to her blog in my true spirit of laziness:

Fer class photos and exciting scandals about s23 visit YiHui.

prad and the vandalised table

Seen on an NJ table in the Oasis, I took pictures so I'll upload them later.

Library We deceide to get our drinks so we hunt around for places to chill but every single corner has the pesky "reserved" sign on it. Finally we say, to hell with it, we'll drink standing up and then head on over to the floor. I mean, we sure as heck didn't come to sit and look at the ladies... we came here to stand and look at the ladies!
2300: We split up to our rooms of choice
Main Room: Heng, Shaun, Huiyang
R&B Room: Kenny, Prad, Daphne, CheeKhoon, Navin
Retro Room: DC, DC's BPGHS mates, JunKiat
Not too sure where the others went.

Saturday 18th March

0200: Time Out
I walk to the nearest 7/11 (about 15mins away) and find Kenny, Heng, Shaun and Huiyang sitting outside eating snacks and getting drinks. I get a drink and we walk back.
0220: Back at MOS
Kenny and I managed to convince the rest that the hottest chicks were at the R&B room (you gotta see to believe man. this girl took off her top [she was wearing a bikini inside you pervs, stop drooling] and swung it around to a chingy remix and this dude [lets hope hes the boyfriend] was using her like a pole, yea, like in those rap videos. *whistles*). However, by this time the R&B room was packed to the max. Kenny and myself managed to squeeze into the middle earlier but this time it was no give.
0300: The Pure Room
Cheekhoon calls to say he has a good place in the pure room and we head over. Paying almost no attention to the big "25 Years Old and Above Only" sign we walk in brazenly and head over to this white circular bed. Yes, so the sign and the beds would have you think its a shag-den but everyone seemed pretty decent. (ie. clothes were still on for the most part) Daphne, Cheekhoon and Huiyang started dancing on the white bed-like-thing all of a sudden. Ok, wait. Daphne was dancing (really well too). No offense to the fellas but most of us chillin thought you guys looked like you were having your testicles electrocuted (please don't try that at home, leave it to the professionals). BUT. For actually doin what you guys did I suppose you have more nuts than all of us combined, so ok, we're square. haha.
0340: We all gather outside MOS. Its been quite a night. Or morning, whatever.
0345: Heng, Shaun, Huiyang, Kenny and myself deceide to walk to cathay cineleisure from clarke quay. To play LAN and I really mean "Local Area Network" and not whatever you may be thinking. We're all decent fellows, i think.
0410: We reach Cine and I visit CHEERS to charge my phone
0445: We deceide to LAN for 3 hours. Shaun, Heng and myself play, Huiyang and Kenny sleep on the chairs behind us.
0745: The others guys go home. Me? Its a new day!
0900: Meet a friend for breakfast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast in Chua Chu Kang. Cheese toast, half boiled eggs and hot black coffee, what better way to start the new day.
1200: Head to town to meet Keefe, Jeekai and Brenda for lunch
1300: Finally show up at Pepper Lunch. We just sit around and talk. Good to see you guys after so long. Kampong Bahru better have full attendance next time!
1445: Startin to feel groggy. Maybe I should have opted for 2 cups of coffee. I message some of the guys to ask what time we'll be meeting later for the council gathering at Diana's. No one replies (the weaklings are still sleeping, pfft, humans). I assume the original meeting time of 1530 is still on so I make my way to Orchard Library to work up a mental sweat.
1530: After transferring my stink of booze and smoke to the library I take a slow walk to Orchard MRT station
1540: "eh pradeep, this is shaun, I'm leaving my house now. Meeting time changed to 4 plus I think" I am soon to find out that most of the fags are still sleeping or have just woken up. Heng wakes up at 5 something. haha. But thanks Shaun fer being the first one to come and give me some company.
1640: We get a cake for Jason and make our way to Di's house
1730: We arrive, chat, eat, play hooker and watch Mean Girls. Yes, Mean Girls.

Hooker: A sport involving the very clever combination of hockey and snooker. It is a very physically challenging, vigourous, exciting, pool cue damaging, oftentimes retarded game that has 2 sides of 2 members each, competing against one another to score points against the opposing team. The first team to reach 5 wins and questioning the referees decision is not unruly or unbecoming, it is usually the norm. So is thrashing the referee after a bad call. Now thats what I call an engaging sport.

2230: We leave Diana's house
2330: I reach home
0000: My longest day this year comes to an en...zzz.

afterthought:prad and the thought provoking movies

I've had the opportunity to watch alot of movies recently (both on DVD and on the silver screen) and quite a few of them have been really really good, so I just thought I'd list some of them down so that you guys can look out for them.

1. Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind
Plot Outline: A couple (Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet) undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their relationship turns sour, but it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with.

2. Million Dollar Baby
Plot Outline: A hardened trainer/manager (Clint Eastwood) works with a determined woman (Hillary Swank) in her attempt to establish herself as a boxer.

3. The Constant Gardner
Plot Outline: A widower (Ralph Fiennes) is determined to get to the bottom of a potentially explosive secret involving his wife's (Rachel Weisz) murder, big business, and corporate corruption.

4. Munich
Plot Outline: Based on the true story of the Black September aftermath, about the five men chosen to eliminate the ones responsible for that fateful day.

If you guys have seen any really good movies recently feel free to tag too, then everyone can watch and enjoy. Cheers.

(Plot Outlines from IMDb)

afterthought:prad and the confrontation with negligence

Yes. I'm finally ready to admit it. For far too long have I been daoing far too many people. I'm really not sure why this happened and why I stayed that way for so long but I did. It came to a point where I wasn't replying sms's, msn messages and what not. To all those who've suffered under my regime of monosyllabic answers and noncommittal replies I'm sorry. I suppose I needed time to just get away from people and reflect on myself. Not that I'm ungrateful for all the "its ok", "its alright", "not bad what!" and other thinly veiled consolatory messages.. just that, I really let myself and alot of other people who I care about down so I just really needed to feel bad about it for a while. I wanted to stop having to tell all those who got 4A's but an undesirable GP grade it was going to be ok and all those who didn't get the scholarships they wanted that many other doors were still open to them. Its sad how alot of people are blind to the anguish and dissapointment of others and yet are so transfixed upon their own very minor shortcomings. These people forget about those who're actually listening and comforting them who have their own fears and anxieties. I know alot of you have done that and I hope that as you grow up you guys learn to be more sensitive to the feelings of others.

Is it not a terrible shame if you've gained so much academically and yet lost all your social graces? Pragmatically it'll get you far, being selfish I mean, but is it really something worth sacrificing your humanity for? Your personality becomes so corrupt and vile that in the end, it is your money that surrounds you in death and not the company of good friends. You walk this Earth with a mind so saturated with cynicism that you're perpetually afraid that others are scheming against you or talking behind your back. The future is both bright and bleak for the selfish.

On a less sullen note, its good to know some people haven't given up on me. Like Mark Lai for example. haha. He is probably the person who I've daoed the most. One of my closest primary school mates who followed me to SJI. I was talking to him yesterday after a very long time and it really picked up mood. Thanks man. Anyways I promise that I shall no longer dao anyone on msn or via sms! If I do, I'll er, treat you to lunch or something and since I'm in the making promises mood - i shall be bold and make another promise! I promise to not brood in my next few entries! It'll be like a tellytubbies episode, mindless and mildly amusing. Oh. And I'm suddenly feeling sociable (seeing as how my days of freedom are being encroached upon) so if you wanna ask me out (wah, like i some bigshot liddat) go ahead and I guarantee I'll show up.

//General ShoutOuts//

1. To 04s23: MSN me the dates you're free, I wanna organise an outing. Yes, I actually said that.

2. To Heng, Jason, Shaun, DC, Kenny, Cheekhoon, Navin, Daphne, Huiyang, Junkiat, the BPGHS people, anyone else who's interested: Wanna go Ministry of Sound again?

3. Its been quite a while and I've finally deceided to recontinue my blog, this time at a new address. A few things need explaining I suppose, seeing as how I left my previous blog so unceremoniously in september last year. Much to the dissapointment of my parents i never actually "woke up when semptember ended", which resulted in me reaping the rotten fruit of my slacktitude. But yea. As I was saying before I strayed off, back to the explainin!

1. Why I changed my MSN nick
For those who were wonderin (and those who weren't) my nickname changed from something about the Feedback Unit (the student council committee i was in) to what it is now - Clairvoyant - sometime late last year after a very jarring personal event (which i may elaborate on later). As defined by my trusty collins english dictionary, to be clairvoyant is "to have the power to perceive beyond the natural range of senses". Why I chose the nick? I was feeling bored and I was hoping I could start a new one-word nick trend. Yes, I'm serious.

2. Why I Closed My Blog
Too much of it was about the person I was before i came to JC. Truely, it chronicled much happier times so I didn't wanna taint it further by filling it with my newer depressing entries which were brought about by the whole Student Council shabang. Those who actually read it regularly have told me the change in tone of the entries was startlingly apparent. I thought so to, so I deceided to preserve what of left of its cheer (if you wanna call it that) by moving here. There you go. If you're really bored you can still access it at this address http://pradzindahouse.blogspot.com

3. Why I don't drink
I've been going for quite a few social gatherings and for some strange reason the question of my alcohol consumption usually gets brought up. For the record - no, I am not muslim and no, I am not recovering from an alcoholism problem. I don't drink for the sheer joy of seeing the horrified looks of those around me at the bar when I ask for a "coke, straight up" or a "coke.. with coke please". Ok but seriously, I don't drink because I see drinking as the most cloaked form of peer pressure. I mean kids (yes, i'm referrin to you), do you honestly drink to enjoy the taste of good alcohol? You drink cos everyone else does it and its cool! I know people who proudly proclaim that "eh mann, vodka tastes like cough syrup" and continue to drink up. I bet if I blindfolded 8 in 10 young people and let them try a glass of cough syrup and vodka they wouldn't know the difference taste wise (ok fine, so cough syrup doesn't tingle on the way down). Or maybe you drink to loosen your social inhibitions. Well, that I can understand. But I figure my social inhibitions are already so loose that it would be smart to lay off the booze. So yes, thats why i don't drink - I fear the pradeep within! haha.

4. Why haven't i seen you around lately?
No more council! Ok la, but seriously. In case you were wondering (i know you weren't, but just be polite and read damn it), after the 'A's I spent a considerable amount of time bumming around. After that I took up driving and also this waitering job at a hotel which I shall not name (for i fully intend to slander the living hell out of <s>the oriental singapore</s>this hotel in future entries) Both were kinda fun and truely opened my eyes (in the case of driving, quite literally) to the real World. As for now, well. I'm once again just bumming around in eager anticipation of the army. Not so much for being in an all guy environment again (less complicated) but mainly cos i wanna know what the hell all these army guys keep talking about. Seriously dudes, its cute for the first few weeks but after a while its just friggin annoying. So you leopard crawled a million km thru barbed wire and rabid sergeants and walked thru hell and high water with abrasions the size of india - but man! You guys are still civilians! Somewhere in there were the slack sons of bitches I once knew! For some reason these guys forget to switch off army mode when they leave tekong. But ok la, kudos to all those who POP'ed. I hear its a tough ride and I look forward to annoying everyone with my own army talk in the near future. heh. Before I get off this section lemme whine about driving. This driving centre I go to (which i shall not name cos i like the instructors at <s>bukit batok driving centre</s>the centre) really likes to suck you dry of every cent you have in your bank account. Now, being a good gp student, I shall attempt to balance my arguement so as not to appear overly partial to one particular viewpoint..... damn it, they suck money lor. But seriously, I finished learning driving in febuary but the earliest test date I'm allowed to book is in may. So now I have no choice but to go for these revision lessons (well, granted i can choose not to go la, but what if after 3 months i forget the difference between the clutch and break pedals and mow some nice old lady down?) which cost 56 dollars a piece. It surely doesn't help that the centre has the lowest driving pass rates amongst the 3 centres in the country. BUT bitching aside, driving boils down to individual ability and not driving centre credentials so maybe I'll forget about the last part.

Alrightt! So well done, you've made it past the first part of my first entry (yes, i really did say first part) Now its time to set some ground rules for future entries, sort of like a disclaimer. Here goes:

1. I seem to have developed this fetish for listing things
Nuff' said

2. I am often politically incorrect
I apologise in advance, maybe you should read me with a kleenex.

3. I am vulgar, crass, crude and otherwise uncouth
Refer to 2.

4. This blog recognises Singlish as a language
A: "I must say, this entry was utterly, completely, absolutely fabulous!"
can otherwise be written as
B: "Sibei solid sia"
i'm all for saving word space.

5. I do not proof-read my entries
I am afflicted with a strange and mysterious ailment known as laziness, ergo I tend to make an outrageously large amount of typoos.

Anyways, so much for the first entry. Seeya.

next entry
"prad and the ministry of sound"
coming to a computer near you.
